A free workshop on fondant, the latest trend in cake-decorating, will be offered by Becky Newstead of Becky’s Cake Designs. Becky will teach participants about working with the icing that is used on many decorated wedding, birthday and other special occasion cakes.
The smooth, almost flawless icing can be rolled and draped over a cake or poured as a liquid. Fondant gives a cake a professional appearances and keeps the baked goods moist.
Participants are invited to drop by between 11am and 2pm to learn how to work with fondant through decorating their own cupcake. A great make-it and take it afternoon! All supplies provided, a small group experience in our demonstration kitchen.
