Holiday Cookbook Demo – Author Michael Gray
Crate & Cargo will host international kayak guide Michael Gray as he demonstrates recipes and offers tastings from his book “Hey, I’d Eat This at Home – A Fresh and Fearless Approach to Wilderness and Home Cooking”.
Gray’s book features more than recipes but is a guide to off-site cooking and eating, whether you are preparing meals from a backpack or improvising with limited cookware in a vacation home, the cookbook includes instructions and anecdotes that are helpful. This cookbook also has a section on equipping a backcountry kitchen and dicusses hygiene, water filtration, stoves, fuel types, as well as essential cookware and utensils.
Micheal Gray has been professionally guiding since 1982 and has worked out of a kayak and taught outdoor cookery in Alaska, New Zealand, Honduras, Belize, Florida and the Great Lakes.
