Sausage Making Demo a success!

On Saturday, January 21, 2012, owner Sally Berlin and jeweler Jackleen Carmack decided to spice up the winter with a sausage making demonstration in the store. From 11:00am until 2:00pm, Jackleen and her sister Christine Cote, helped to show customers not only how to make sausage but how to use it in wonderful recipes. In the demonstration, Jackleen used the Waring Pro Meat Grinder which is available for purchase in the store.
Though sausage making has been around for decades, recipes have been greatly refined in recent years creating healthier offerings and the process of making sausage has become a culinary art. ”With the focus on flavorful, healthy food, making your own sausage let’s the cook get creative and work with ingredients that are fresh an meets their personal tastes. Vegetarians can create casing sausages with a range of non-meat ingredients”, said Jackleen.
